Founded in 1991, the Graduate Student Association is the governing body of and for graduate students at Colorado School of Mines. The GSA addresses issues of concern to graduate students at Mines, and organizes various research, academic and social functions. All registered graduate students are automatically members of the GSA and are welcome to attend meetings and events. The GSA Council is comprised of representatives from each degree-granting department or division, and it meets monthly to guide GSA policies and activities. If you are interested in learning more about the GSA, please contact one of the GSA Council members or stop by our next meeting!

We are also pleased to introduce the Colorado School of Mines Graduate Student Statement of Values and ExpectationsPDF versionText only version. This document was forged with input from graduate students, administrators, and faculty. Though the document is non-binding, we strongly encourage all graduate students to familiarize themselves with this document. The guidelines herein are intended to provide a behavioral framework, to empower graduate students to assess the integrity of the student-advisor relationship. When obstacles do emerge, there are multiple appropriate venues to seek advice and assistance, including GSA Department Representatives, the Office of Graduate Studies, and the Office of Human Resources.
